David Cravit and Larry Wolf are two longtime advertising professionals who have teamed up to challenge outdated ideas about aging.

Drawing on decades of experience in marketing and branding, they co-authored the book “SuperAging: The Seven A’s of How to Get Older Without Getting Old,” along with a companion workbook and website called SuperAging News.

Together, they’re helping people see that growing older doesn’t mean slowing down. Instead, it’s an opportunity to live with more vitality, purpose and joy than ever before.

Here are some of the key takeaways from our conversation:

• First, attitude is everything. A positive mindset about aging can extend your life by reducing stress and inflammation. People can actually train themselves to become more optimistic through simple mental exercises.

• Second, awareness keeps you sharp. Staying informed about new research, technology and lifestyle options allows older adults to make better decisions and stay engaged with the world.

• Third, activity promotes vitality. Movement of any kind matters, whether it is walking, stretching or even “exercise snacks” of just ten minutes of movement can lower blood pressure and improve longevity.

• Fourth, achievement gives life direction. Having goals and purpose through work, volunteering, learning or creative pursuits helps to create fulfillment at any age.

David and Larry also address the role of technology and artificial intelligence by explaining how innovation can both help and harm seniors.

After long and successful careers in advertising, they’ve redirected their creative energy toward helping others to discover new possibilities later in life.

For David, meaning comes from curating trustworthy, science-based information that empowers people to live longer and healthier lives. He finds great joy in seeing others embrace optimism and realize that growing older can be a season of expansion, not decline.

For Larry, fulfillment comes from continuous learning, mental challenge and connection to others. He stays active through activities like tai chi and finds purpose in encouraging others to stay curious, keep moving and form meaningful relationships.

Together, David and Larry exemplify the “super aging” philosophy they teach by staying aware, active and engaged well into their later years.

They believe everyone can cultivate a more purposeful, joyful and resilient life by embracing the Seven A’s and refusing to be limited by outdated notions of what aging means.
