Allison McCune Davis explains how to enjoy more energy, vitality with natural health in Episode 140

Today’s guest is Allison McCune Davis. She is a certified traditional naturopath, educator and author who is on a mission to help people rediscover energy and vitality through natural health.

Allison’s journey began unexpectedly 30 years ago when a friend introduced her to traditional Chinese medicine. That single encounter, where herbs and simple dietary changes succeeded where prescriptions had not, ignited a lifelong passion for natural wellness.

Over time, Allison became a student and teacher of holistic health, eventually earning her certification from the Trinity School of Natural Health.

In our conversation, Allison shared several key takeaways:

First, the body knows how to heal itself when given the right tools. Herbs, nutrition and lifestyle habits can often address the root cause of illness more effectively than pharmaceuticals.

Second, true wellness comes from balance, encompassing what she calls the “three pillars” of body work, brain work, and world work. Each of those have their own “big five” habits that promote longevity, purpose and peace.

Third, small and consistent actions matter. Through her 60-Day Dare program, Allison encourages people to create new habits for health and happiness. Those cover everything from better sleep and mindful breathing to decluttering their homes and nurturing relationships.

Finally, community and accountability are essential. Whether it’s through her classes, her online challenge or her new book “60 is a Good Start,” Allison helps people stay engaged and connected while building sustainable change.

You’re never too old to reinvent yourself. At 60, Allison wrote her book and began a new chapter helping others embrace midlife as a time of opportunity, not decline.

What gives Allison meaning and purpose today is helping others reclaim their health and vitality naturally, not through medications.

After a lifetime of raising five children, homeschooling and overcoming her own health challenges, Allison finds joy in showing others that healing doesn’t always come from a prescription bottle. It begins with awareness, intention and small choices made every day.

Through her 60-Day Dare program, Allison empowers people to rebuild their energy, improve their mental and emotional well-being, and rediscover purpose through service, creativity and connection to others.

Her work blends science, faith and intuition to encourage people to trust their bodies and listen to their inner wisdom.

Now in her 60s, Allison continues to live what she teaches. She stays active by creating community and mentoring others to believe that it’s never too late to start fresh.

As she puts it, “This is an incredible time in life. You’ve got the wisdom of experience, and the time to make it count.”
